San Antonio is a rich cultural city with a myriad of activities ranging from miles of biking and running trails to the Riverwalk downtown. There are a plethora of restaurants offering a variety of local and international cuisine. San Antonio is the proud home of The Spurs, but San Antonio also hosts minor league hockey (The Rampage) and minor league baseball (The Missions). For those interested in shopping, there are plenty of opportunities. From outlet malls in San Marcos to La Cantera and The Rim on I-10, you'll find what you're looking for!
Fredericksburg is a small German-influenced town perfect for a weekend getaway with a vibrant art and restaurant scene. Moreover, it is surrounded by a growing and thriving wine country, and all of this is located only about an hour away from San Antonio. In addition, there are national parks such as Enchanted Rock and Pedernales Falls, each within 1.5 hours of San Antonio, that offer hiking, fishing and camping.
