Pau Gasol of the Spurs Meets Our Spanish Fellow & Resident!

Dr. Eloy Tabeayo (Hand Surgery Fellow) and Dr. Fernando Escamez-Fernandez (Orthopaedic Surgery Resident) had the pleasure of meeting Pau Gasol of the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. Speaking to Dr. Tabeayo and Dr. Escamez-Fernandez afterwards, they were in awe, describing him as one of the kindest, most well-rounded people they have ever met. 

I am sure Pau would say the same about Dr. Tabeayo and Dr. Escamez-Fernandez, both of whom come to us from Madrid, Spain through our relationship with the El Hospital Universitario La Paz and The Spanish Exchange Program. Dr. Tabeayo was one of our first Spanish Rotators through the program, and Dr. Escamez-Fernandez continues that tradition. We are proud of these two and the perspective they bring to the Hand Center of San Antonio.
