the Helping Hands fund

Dr. David Green founded the Helping Hands Fund in 2009 to help those less fortunate reach their goals through education.  A 501c3 organization, the Helping Hands Fund raises money for scholarships and disburses those funds through San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries and Haven for Hope.  

SAMM and Haven Hope have helped thousands of people by providing many services, but Helping Hands has focused on helping people pay for various expenses associated with education and training.  From something as seemingly small as a cap & gown rental to seemingly insurmountable obstacles such as large credentialing fees, Helping Hands empowers people through education and training to become self-reliant and proud, contributing members of their communities.
