Today is a bittersweet day for us. Today, three incredibly talented young surgeons will complete their fellowship training in upper extremity and microvascular surgery here at the Hand Center of San Antonio and will move on to wonderful practices across the country.

Fireworks Safety: Remember, Fireworks Can Still Burn After the Holidays!
If you have fireworks left over after the July 4th celebrations, remember to continue to exercise caution and practice fireworks safety to avoid hand injuries and other accidents. Fireworks can still cause serious injuries...even after the holidays. We tend to see many hand injuries that could have been avoided by following simple fireworks safety guidelines.

One of the Hand Center's very own, Dr. James Saucedo, was invited to Madrid, Spain in mid May 2015 to lead a workshop on distal radius fracture fixation and ulnar shortening osteotomy.
the Helping Hands fund
Dr. David Green founded the Helping Hands Fund in 2009 to help those less fortunate reach their goals through education. A 501c3 organization, the Helping Hands Fund raises money for scholarships and disburses those funds through San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries and Haven for Hope.
